Alpha
Blue :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Alpha
Blue launched on 5th January 2006 with a fleet of 2x ATR 72, 1x 737-200
and 1x 737-300 which was leased from continental. The first selected
bases were Blackpool and Cardiff. Belfast City and Bristol followed,
then due to the rapid increase, Belfast City was changed to Belfast
Aldergrove, and Bristol was changed to Cardiff. London Gatwick, Liverpool,
and Leeds Bradford were introduced near the end of 2006.

Within the first couple of month’s operation, over 10 Boeing 737-400's
were introduced into the fleet, and gradually replaced the 737-200s,
and 737-300s. The first 757-200 was introduced in February 2006 in a
new livery, and following aircraft adopted this livery, including brand
new 737-800s which later replaced the 737-400s and ATR 72s.

After the new livery was introduced, more and more members joined, and
expansion was top priority in order to keep everyone happy. After a
poll on the main forum, a Boeing 777-300ER was selected for the fleet.
This aircraft was based at Aldergrove which operated to Orlando Mc Coy.
Shortly after, a Boeing 767-300ER was introduced to Bristol and Belfast,
which operated to Bristol to Orlando Sanford (later changed to Mc Coy)
and Belfast to New York. The next to appear was various liveries for
the 737-800, and winglets to be added to the fleet within the year.
Such liveries included: Coca Cola (737-400), Looney Tunes (737-800s),
Garfield (737-800), Sun Livery (737-800), and the Green Jet (737-800).

Belfast virtual was launched soon after, and consisted of 5x A320-200,
1x 757-200 and 2x 767-300. This airline was a subside of Alpha Blue
and unfortunately didn't last. The airline stood for 3 months, and gained
over 20 members, but only 5 members flew. Some aircraft were brought
to the Alpha Blue main fleet, and the others are in storage. A third
new livery was introduced after members weren't too keen on the green
crossing yellow; therefore it was changed into a single gold stripe.
Most members thought this was a great idea, and enjoyed the new tail
logo. An AI package was then introduced for all the flights of Alpha
Blue and the skies were more packed than ever before.

Next on the list was to do further destinations. The Boeing 767-300
wasn't the best for range, so we replaced these with Boeing 767-200ERs,
which got us flying! The 767-200ERs stayed for a good few months, and
then were sent to Cargo, as they needed more aircraft. Once the 767-200s
moved, Canada's Airbus A330-300s were moved over to Alpha Blue, making
the new and current fleet consist of Airbus A330-300s, Boeing 737-800s,
Boeing 777-300s and Belfast Airbus A320-200s. To keep the fleets even,
we shifted all the 737-800s to Oceania, and brought their A320-200s
back in return, with addition of A340-300s for extra capacity on our
popular routes. A new livery was introduced with a fading blue and yellow
bottom.

Alpha Blue
Canada ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Alpha Blue Canada launched in May 2006 as Alpha Red with a fleet of
2x A320-200, 4x A321-200 and 2x A330-300 The first base was Toronto
Pearson, with Vancouver to be introduced in the future, which was recently.
The name Alpha Red changed to Canada later on, as it seemed more appropriate.
The fleet remained the same for the year, with a few leases introduced
such as an A340-300 from Virgin and CRJ-900 from America West. A New
livery was introduced once Alpha Red changed to Alpha Blue Canada, making
the livery similar to the other divisions except for the tail logo.

Expansion of the other divisions meant that Canada was left out for
a while, and the Vancouver base was eventually introduced with another
brand new livery and the lease of 3x A321-200s from bmi British Midland.
Next on the list was to introduce an express aircraft to do short hops
around Vancouver. Members wanted to have turboprops so we started painting
and the Dash 8-Q400 was selected. A New manager was appointed at this
stage, who wanted long range aircraft; therefore the Boeing 747-400
was selected.

The Airbus A330-300s were beginning to be useless for range, therefore
they were replaced with Boeing 747-400s and moved over to Alpha Blue,
and the whole fleet was later repainted with the introduction of A319s.
Alpha Blue
Cargo ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Alpha Blue Cargo was launched during April 2006, with a start up fleet
of 1x Airbus A310-300, 3x Boeing 737-300 and 5x BAe 146-300. Also planned
was a Boeing 747-400F, which was never launched. The first Bases were
Belfast and Hawarden, with Cardiff following and a Boeing 757-200F leased
from Icelandair to help cope with new routes across the Atlantic.

A New Livery was released, and to save web space, this division shortly
closed down.
Alpha Blue
Express :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
A Division that popped on and off the scene every season with a variety
of aircraft. In the end, this division never lasted.

Alpha Blue
Japan ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Alpha Blue Japan was launched at the end of March 2007, with a fleet
of 4x DC 9 -30 Aircraft, all based at Tokyo. After 1 month of operation,
Alpha Blue USA was looking rid of their MD87s, and these were moved
to Alpha Blue Japan to increase operations. Due to Lack of interest,
this division closed very quickly

Alpha Blue
Oceania :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Alpha Blue Oceania launched in August 2006 as Alpha Blue Australia with
a fleet of 4x Fokker 100, 4x A320-200 and 1x A340-600. The first base
was Sydney to start off with. This division hasn't expanded as much
as the others, however; recently a new base in New Zealand was introduced.
The Livery has never changed except for the red font, and has proven
quite popular. The Original plan was to paint a livery the same as the
others, but we decided to introduce different liveries for each division.

Now that we have introduced
New Zealand as a Base and are indenting to add more bases, we have renamed
this division to "Alpha Blue Oceania". We are also returning
the Fokker 100s and Airbus A340s to ILFC and replacing with brand new
leased Boeing 777-200LRs and CRJ 900s. A320s were later exchanged for
Boeing 737-800s. Currently this division is closed.
Alpha Blue
USA ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Alpha Blue U.S.A was launched during April 2006 with a fleet of 4x Boeing
737-700 as Alpha Orange and based in Orlando Mc Coy. Shortly after the
name change for the Canadian Division, Alpha Orange was changed to Alpha
Blue Florida, with the addition of 2x MD 90s and a repaint. Shortly
after the MD90s were introduced, Alpha Blue (main division) no longer
required their Boeing 757-200, and it was moved over the Alpha Blue
Florida for the remainder of its lease. Alpha Blue Florida also accepted
3x Boeing 737-300s from Southwest Airlines to help replace 737-700 operations
and introduce new distant services with the -700s.

Alpha Blue Florida had already dominated Florida, and expansion was
becoming more likely, which resulted in Alpha Blue U.S.A. Big changes
also happened. The Boeing 737-300's were moved over to Cargo and converted,
and the MD90s were involved in an unfortunate incident. The Boeing 757-200
was moved to Belfast Virtual, and orders were placed for 757-200s with
PW engines for extra range, and Boeing 737-900s to replace -700s for
extra seating, as our flights were becoming quite full. MD 87s were
then introduced for our short, low number flights, which were later
moved to Alpha Blue Japan.

Once the Alpha Blue
USA change happened, new bases were introduced. KPIT, Pittsburgh, KDEN,
Denver and KPSP, Palm Springs. An MD-11 was also introduced to start
Long Haul flights, and a new livery was to be introduced over time.
New livery arrived, so did the Boeing 737-900s, all in full new colours.
Next to come were ATR 72-500s, to start short hops, instead of sending
a 737-900 on a 200nm trip.

The Next stage sent Alpha Blue USA Soaring, as it managed a take-over
with Skyskimmer Virtual, adding 2 new bases (Chicago and Boston), and
an extra 94 aircraft to the fleet. (2x Airbus A300-200, 34x Boeing 737-400,
and 58x Embraer 135LR). Most of the Embraers have been painted, and
some with a special livery.
